South Africa enjoys a spectacular coastline, starting with the cold Atlantic currents and storm battered rocks of the beaches around Cape Town through to the crystal clear, warm Indian Ocean and unspoiled white sandy beaches from Cape Town to Durban.
On this Motorcycle Coastal Adventure you will explore this coastline thoroughly, and enjoy the many nature reserves and activities.
This adventure is designed for folks who wish to make the most of the time available. Bungalows, Inns and Hotels are used on this tour, some basic but always comfortable, all are chosen for their location. This tour requires a certain amount of fitness and flexibility; it is not suitable for those seeking a 5 star, luxury tour.

Stellenbosch Wine Route – South Africa
Leaving the mother city of Cape Town behind, we ride to Stellenbosch stopping off at a wine farm for an included tasting. The magnificent rocky mountain scenery will take your breath away en route to a Cheetah Breeding project, where we admire these beautiful animals.
We ride inland to the Cango Caves. The Cango Caves are some of the most impressive limestone caverns and the different formations are quite astonishing. In the afternoon we have the opportunity to visit an Ostrich Farm.Knysna – South Africa
We return to the coast via some lovely country roads and visit the picturesque seaside village of Knysna. Travelling along the coastal stretch of the Garden Route is one of South Africa’s most scenic journeys. Look out for whales and dolphins as we pass through Mossel Bay. Optional Activities: Canoeing, hiking & the lagoon cruise.
Bloukrans / Tsitsikamma National Park
Ride to the Storms River and Bloukrans Bridge. We will spend time exploring this coastal region and the Tsitsikamma National Park, one of South Africa’s best-kept secrets. The hiking here is some of the best in South Africa, including the famous Otter Trail and superb coastal scenery. At the nearby Bloukrans Bridge the Bungy Jump (at 212m) is the highest in the world, although most people are not quite brave enough to try it. Optional Activities: Bungy jumping (highest in the world), treetop canopy tours.
Addo Elephant National Park
The journey continues into the Eastern Cape where we enter the Addo Elephant National Park, where we are surrounded by these magnificent creatures. Addo is also home to many of Africa’s big game.
After a final game drive in Addo we depart Addo Park and ride, via Port Elizabeth, to Hogsback. Some of the original Afro-Montane Rainforest can be seen here as well as stunning waterfalls such as Bridal Veil Falls and Madonna and Child Falls. Optional Activities: Horse riding, mountain biking.
Malealea – Lesotho
Optional ride to the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is one of the highest countries in the world, with all territory being over 1000m above sea level. The next day we get up early and those going on the Pony Trekking will ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides. If you remain behind you can visit the local village or craft market. Optional Activities: Pony Trekking Excursion, Hiking.
We return to South Africa where we ride to the Royal Natal National Park and the Drakensberg Mountains, South Africa’s highest and most beautiful. We explore the mountain paths and take in the breathtaking views offered in the Royal Natal National Park. We spend the next two days exploring mountain paths and enjoying the beauty the Drakensberg. Optional Activities: Horse Riding, Hiking.
Kwa-Zulu Natal Coast / Durban
Our journey takes us through some amazing scenery on our way down to the Kwa Zulu Natal coast. In the late afternoon we enter the bustling city of Durban, South Africa’s largest port and surfing capital. Option of sampling some Indian cuisine and enjoying this coastal city’s vibrant night life.
